Southbridge Access launches service in Cuba

May 2017

In May 2017, Southbridge Access hosted twenty alumni and staff from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Medical MBA program in Havana, Cuba. Among other activities, the group visited the Cuban Medical Brigade, the Cuban Nurse Association, the Latin American School of Medicine, and a local medical clinic. Cultural activities included exploring Havana via a vintage car tour, and visits to a rum museum and a cigar factory, as well as Finca Vigia, Ernest Hemingway’s house outside of Havana.

According to Susannah Gowar, Director of the Business of Medicine Physician MBA at Indiana University, the visit was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. “We're having the best time in Cuba, and the alumni and faculty are raving about the experience. Your group managers are doing a great job handling all the details and keeping the program flowing smoothly.”
